The chair’s work is closely related to one of the BTU’s main research facilities "Information Technology and Communication".
The express wish for applied research comes mainly from fields related to production (the automobile and aeoronautical industries and engineering) which means the chair belongs to Faculty 3 “Mechanical, Electrical and Industrial Engineering” and is supported by the chair’s connection to the “Fraunhofer Anwendungszentrum für Logistiksystemplanung und Informationssysteme.”
